Park and ride
There are park and ride sites with over 9,500 car park spaces across our transport network. We have parking for cars and bikes. All sites are well lit, with CCTV monitored by our control centre and help points, where you can speak to someone by pressing a button.
Maintenance work sometimes affects our park and ride sites. Check what maintenance work is happening before you travel.

There are 5 park and ride sites along the West Midlands Metro tram line. These have free parking. You can find parking at these stops:

Park at a rail station
Parking at most rail stations is free. You only have to pay at Bromsgrove, Longbridge, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield.
Find out what facilities our stations have on our interactive rail map.
Where we charge for parking you can use pay with cash, debit and credit cards (currently the debit and credit card and Ring go options are not available at Sutton Coldfield).
Save-a-space
You can also pre-book parking at some stations. The booking fee is from £3.60 per day.

Considerate parking
We operate a considerate parking policy at all of our car parks. This means you could get a fine if you park:
- outside a marked bay
- on double yellow lines
- dangerously - for example, obstructing access for emergency services
- in a disabled bay without a valid Blue Badge permit
- Park in a Save-a-space bay without first making a confirmed booking for that numbered bay
You can also get fined if you park your car or bike at a park and ride site, but don’t use public transport.
If you unfortunately receive a penalty charge notice from our enforcement operator Excel Parking then you should follow instructions on the notice to get a speedy resolution. Excel Parking is not incentive in any way to maximise the number of penalty charge notices they issue.
