What’s happening?
Train workers in the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association (TSSA) are going on industrial action strike. This will happen on Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May.
What does this mean?
Trains will run on a reduced timetable and not run as often as usual. If you need to travel, your journey may be delayed or changed, so plan ahead.
On Friday, there will be no trains after 19:00
On Saturday there will be no trains before 7:00.
Train services available but running on a limited service are:
Cross City Line (Lichfield Trent Valley – Redditch / Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street) – 2 trains per hour
Wolverhampton – Walsall via Birmingham New Street – 1 train per hour
Rugeley Trent Valley – Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street – 1 train per hour
Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham New Street - 1 train per hour
Birmingham New Street and London Euston via Northampton - 1 train per hour
Northampton and London Euston - 1 train per hour
Trains may be late, cancelled, or shorter carriages than usual so there might be less space.
